Wiggins hopes to use her experience gained in last season[apos]s NCAA Tournament to improve her mound performance in year two. She will likely start a number of games for the Bears.

Wiggins was thrust into the starting role during the NCAA Tournament and responded by earning a victory, the first Bears postseason win in 13 years, in the elimination game over Iona (May 21) ... started 15 games and appeared in 11 others in a relief role ... won eight games including the season opener against Colorado State (February 18) ... threw four complete games and struck out 44 opposing batters ... batted .259 in 54 at-bats ... had a three-game hitting streak from April 20-22 ... drove in six runs and scored three others ... clubbed three doubles and had two multi-hit game (March 12 vs. UAPB, April 2 at Illinois State).

Wiggins joins the MSU program after earning Texas District 21-4[apos]s MVP award as a junior for Hargrave High School ... wound up highly-decorated prep career as a four-time all-district performer, team MVP and academic all-district honoree ... earned four letters and was an all-district performer in volleyball at Hargrave and played summer ball for the 18U Texas Peppers Tanel 360 club.
