MSU will host the Richard Clark Invitational on Sept. 21

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Missouri State finalized its 2013 cross country schedule, head coach Alick Musukuma announced today (March 4). The docket follows the same order as the 2012 schedule and is highlighted by a home meet, the Richard Clark Invitational on Sept. 21 at the Missouri State Cross Country Course.
For the third-straight year, the Bears will begin their schedule at the Hurricane Festival in Tulsa, Okla. on Aug. 31 at 8 a.m.
Three weeks later, MSU will race on its home course at the Richard Clark Invitational on Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. The Bears placed second in their home meet last season.
The next weekend, Musukuma's troops will trek to Stillwater, Okla. for the Cowboy Jamboree on Sept. 28. That event will be followed by the team's final tune-up before the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, a trip to Fayetteville, Ark. for the Chile Pepper Festival on Oct. 5 at 10:30 a.m.
Drake will host the 2013 MVC meet in Des Moines, Iowa on Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. The Bears will look to improve upon their ninth-place finish at the 2012 league event.
The Bears will take a couple of weeks to prepare for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in Ames, Iowa on Nov. 15. The Regional is hosted this year by Iowa State, and is scheduled to begin at noon.
If the Bears qualify for the NCAA National Championships meet, they'll head to MVC locale Terre Haute, Ind. on Nov. 23. The Indiana State Sycamores will host the 2013 national event, which is scheduled to get underway at 11 a.m.
