DES MOINES, Iowa - The Missouri State cross country team concluded its season at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, finishing 10th, at Blank Golf Course Saturday.

Sophomore Olivia Francka paced the Bears, who scored 317 points, in 62nd place with a five-kilometer time of 19:46.20. Southern Illinois won its second title and first since 1992 with 43 points. Bradley (63), Illinois State (66), Loyola (87) and Wichita State (123) rounded out the top five.

Freshman Megan Nickles was 64th overall in 19:54.30 for MSU, followed by sophomore Tenaly Smith, who was 68th in 20:04.80.

Sophomores Mackenzie Weis (20:55.10), Cindy Forde (20:58.90), Taeler Marshall (21;35.60) and freshman Christina Bradshaw (22:42.80) rounded out the MSU competitors.

Missouri State's indoor track & field season will get underway Dec. 6 at Iowa State's Holiday Preview in Ames.
