The Missouri State cross country team earned a top-10 team finish at the Cowboy Jamboree on Saturday morning, as the Bears took ninth place at the meet in Stillwater, Okla.
The university women’s 5K race featured 96 runners, and the Bears placed two in the top-30. Junior Erin Edwards finished 23rd with a time of 18:47.01, while senior Emily Beaver crossed the finish line in 18:59.04, which was good for 28th. Junior Lisa Imgrund (54th) completed the race in 19:58.38. Junior Nicole Thate (20:31.36) and freshman Taeler Marshall (20:32.32) finished 67th and 68th, respectively, while freshman Tenaly Smith finished in 84th with a time of 21:22.84.
Missouri State’s next meet will be on Oct. 13 the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark. The race is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
