At Missouri State: Carrie Vestal will look to build on an outstanding cross country season in which she won two races and finished fourth at the MVC meet.2007 CC: Vestal won her first collegiate cross country race at the Washington University Early Bird (9/1), then matched that with a win at the Missouri State Classic three weeks later....At the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree (Sept. 29), Vestal took sixth, running an impressive 17:57.0 to lead MSU to the team title....Vestal earned All-MVC honors for the second time with her best career MVC finish of fourth (17:37.78), before finishing her senior season with a personal-best 6K run at the NCAA Midwest Regional (21:53.0)....She was named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team for the second time.
2007 Track: At the MVC Indoor Championships, Vestal took fifth in the 5,000-meter run (17:44.14)....Vestal won the 10,000-meter run at the Missouri Relays outdoors in meet record time (35:55.53)....Vestal capped off her junior season with a runner-up finish in the 10,000 meters (36:32.16) at the MVC Championships and a sixth-place finish in the 5,000 meters (18:01.97)....
2006 CC: Vestal missed the team's first two competitions before opening her season at the Memphis Twilight Classic with a run of 18:24.29, good for 18th place overall....Vestal was the team's fifth runner at the NCAA Pre-Nationals, running 22:32....At the MVC Championships she finished in 18:50 as the team's fourth runner....At the NCAA Midwest Region meet she placed 77th as the team's fourth runner (22:55).
2006 Track: Vestal placed fourth in the 5,000 meters (17:23) and fifth in the 3,000 meters (10:02) at the MVC Indoor Championships....Vestal improved her personal best in the 3,000 meters during the season from 10:43 to 9:55, and her 5,000-meter track best from 18:20 to 17:23....She received all-conference honors in the 10,000 meters after taking gold in the event at the Missouri Valley Outdoor Championships with a time of 36:06....She posted an outdoor personal best in the 5,000-meters at the Drake Relays, finishing in 17:13....At the Stanford Invitational Vestal ran 35:29 for the 10,000-meters, improving her best from 37:50....Vestal ranks third all-time in the 10,000m at MSU, third in the indoor 3000m, third in the indoor 5,000m and fourth in the outdoor 5,000m.
2005 CC: Vestal earned her first All-MVC honor after placing ninth at the MVC Cross Country Championships....She ran a season-best 17:28 in the 5,000m....Vestal ran a 6K best of 21:55 at the NCAA Pre-National meet.
2005 Track: Vestal had a solid freshman track campaign, posting six top-10 finishes during the outdoor season, including a seventh-place finish at the MVC Championships in the 10,000m run (37:50)....Her personal best 5,000m run came at the MVC meet running 18:25.07....She ran a personal best 10:43 for the 3,000m at the MSU Big Bear Invitational.
2004 CC: She was Missouri State's eighth cross country runner at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, placing 58th....Vestal had a season best of 19:20 for 5K.
