SPRINGFIELD -- The annual Missouri State volleyball Maroon & White scrimmage and pizza social has been set for Friday, Aug. 17, with the festivities beginning at 6:00 p.m. inside Hammons Student Center. The pizza social will begin at that time and the intrasquad scrimmage will start at 7 p.m. Additionally, the Bears will play an alumni match at Hammons at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Both scrimmages are free and open to the public. Cost of Friday’s pizza and a drink is $5.00 per person and fans wishing to take part in the pizza social are asked to call Terrie Coulter at (417) 836-4136 or email tcoulter@missouristate.edu by Aug. 16 to make reservations.

Between sets two and three of Friday’s scrimmage, Missouri State head coach Melissa Stokes and her staff will preview the 2012 Bears and review Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA rules.

Confirmed MSU volleyball alumni for Saturday’s match include Katie Werges, Cara Hackmann, Katelyn Panzau, Tiffany Moe, Sara Staubach, Melissa Gmur, Shayla Patrick and Adeana (McAfee) Brewer.
