Background • Coached in high school by former Bear Kathy (Crotty) Wuller at Althoff Catholic in Belleville, Ill. • Prep teams went 123-42 with three conference titles with Michnowicz as a four-year starter • Was a first-team all-state selection as a junior and senior and led the Crusaders to a fourth-place state finish in 2007 and a quarterfinal appearance in 2006
