The Missouri State track and field team is preparing for a busy weekend of events.  The Bears will send athletes to three different track meets, the Drake Relays, the Williams/Laptad Invitational, and the SIUE Twilight Open.

The Drake Relays, one of the most prestigious track meets in the country, begin today.  The Bears will send athletes to compete on Thursday and Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa.  Thursday’s events begin at 3:00 p.m., while Saturday’s events begin at 8:00 a.m.

Missouri State will send other athletes to the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational at Missouri Southern State University on Friday.  All events will be held at Hughes Stadium in Joplin, Mo.

The bulk of the Bears squad will travel to Edwardsville, Ill., for the SIUE Twilight Open on Saturday.  Events at Ralph Korte Stadium begin at 11:30 a.m.

Missouri State will return home to host the 87th Aldo Sebben Missouri State Relays for high school athletes next Tuesday, April 28, 2009 beginning at 11:30 a.m.
