BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Missouri State track & field team returns to action Friday and Saturday at the Gladstein Invitational at Indiana's Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse.

Events are set to begin with the pentathlon 60-meter hurdles at 11 a.m., on Friday with field events starting at 3:30 p.m. Track events will get underway at 3:45 p.m., with the 3,000 meters. Saturday's events begin at 9 a.m., with the heptathlon 60 hurdles. Live results will be available at

The Bears enter the meet with the Missouri Valley Conference's best marks in the 200 meters, 400 meters and triple jump. Junior Althia Maximilien set the current league standard in the 200 and 400, respectively, last weekend at Nebraska. She ran 24.53 in the 200 and 55.72 in the 400.

Sophomore Robiann Broomfield owns the MVC triple-jump mark with an effort 12.49 meters, achieved at the Iowa State Holiday Preview to open the season on Dec. 6.

Missouri State also holds top-five Valley times in the 60-meter dash and 4x400-meter relay.

Senior Pernell Joseph ranks fifth in the league in the 60 with a time of 7.67 seconds, set at the Arkansas Invitational on Jan. 10. The relay squad made up of sophomore Shavonne Husbands, Maximilien, freshman Erin Roebuck and sophomore Oarabile Babolayi is fifth in the 4x400 in 3:52.39, which the group set at Nebraska.

Following the meet at IU, the Bears head to Wichita State to compete in the Varsity Apartments Invitational beginning at 10:30 a.m., Jan. 31.
