AUSTIN, Texas - The Missouri State track and field squad put a bow on its 2013 season after five MSU student-athletes competed at the NCAA West Regional on Saturday (May 25).

Kimsue Grant (Sr., Arlington, Va.) and Robiann Broomfield (Fr., Clarendon, Jamaica) placed 25th and 27th in the triple jump, respectively. Although neither qualified for the next round, Grant's mark of 12.52 meters was the fourth-best time for MSU this season, while Broomfield's distance of 12.46 meters was barely outside the school's top-five tallies in 2013.

The Bears' 4x100-meter relay squad of Grant, Shavonne Husbands (Fr., St. Philip, Barbados), Althia Maximilien (So., Bridgetown, Barbados) and Pernell Joseph (Jr., Vieux Fort, St. Lucia) finished 22nd overall in first-round competition with a time of 45.95 seconds. The team fell short of moving on to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., but posted their second-fastest time this season.
