Scott, Dantin Notch Personal Best Marks at MVC Outdoor Championships

Haley Scott and Jessica Dantin posted a handful of personal bests on day one of the Missouri Valley Conference track and field outdoor championships on Friday (May 10).
Scott, a sophomore, competed in the heptathlon and is currently in 10th place with 2,574 points. The native of Arlington Heights, Ill. earned new personal records in the 100-meter hurdles (15.96 seconds), high jump (1.57m) and shot put (8.82m). Scott also raced to a time of 27.12 seconds in the 200-meter dash heptathlon event, which concludes tomorrow with the long jump, javelin throw and 800-meter run.
Dantin, a junior from Wildwood, Mo., set a new personal record in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.13 meters. That represented a season-best distance for the Bears, and bested her previous high-water mark of 42.27 meters, set on April 20.
Day two of the MVC Outdoor Championships will get started Saturday (May 11) at 11:30 a.m.
