2011 Track:

Indoor: Strictly participated in the high jump....Finished eighth at the Missouri Invitational with a personal best jump of 5-02.99.

Outdoor: Saw limited time during the Bears' outdoor season.

2010 Track:

Indoor: Placed fifth and set an indoor personal record in the high jump (5-02.25) at the EIU Mega Meet.

Outdoor: At the Joey Haines Invitational, set a personal-best (5-01.75), but took home eighth in the high jump.

2009 Track:

Indoor: Finished 13th in the high jump at the Missouri Invitational....And 13th in the high jump at the Missouri Southern Open Invitational.

Outdoor: Scarcely competed for the Bears during the outdoor season.

Background: McCowen placed in the top-10 in the high jump at state both her junior and senior seasons....Named All-State and team captain her senior year....Finished first in the high jump at conference her sophomore season, at district her junior and senior seasons, and sectionals her senior season....Was a member of the conference-winning track team her junior year of high school.

Personal: Kelsey Ruth McCowen was born August 20, 1989, in Creve Coeur, Mo....Daughter of Craig and Karen McCowen....Has two brothers, Lloyd and Clayton....Majoring in middle school education.
