At Missouri State: Emma Burditt will look to continue her success from this past cross country season into the Bears' track and field season.

Background: Burditt concluded her high school career on a high note with an individual championship at the 3A Missouri State Cross Country Championship in 2010....As captain of the Hannibal High cross country squad her senior year, she recorded a personal best in the 5K in addition to finishing as the district and conference champion....During her senior campaign in track & field, Burditt claimed the state championship in the 3,200-meter run and placed eighth in the 1,600m....She received all-state, all-conference and all-district accolades in the 3,200m, 1,600m and 4x800 events....Burditt was a key component in the 4x800 relay that broke the school record in 2010....The Hannibal, Mo., native was an all-state cross country honoree all four years of high school.

Personal: Emma Rachel Burditt was born July 12, 1992, in Hannibal, Mo....Daughter of Jeff and Karen Burditt...Has three siblings, Jason, Jesses and Leslie....Plans to major in Dietetics at Missouri State University.
