SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State fans will have a pair of opportunities to meet new women’s tennis coach Mallory Weber and Springfield-area players Abbey Belote and Mackenzie Rozell in the coming week, as the group will be available to connect with members of the community at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.

Weber, Belote and Rozell will first be introduced at halftime of the Mylan World Team Tennis match between the Springfield Lasers and the Texas Wild on July 7. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start at Mediacom Stadium at Cooper Tennis Complex. For tickets, visit SpringfieldLasers.com or call (417) 837-5800.

The coach and student-athletes will also be the guests of honor at a community meet-and-greet opportunity on July 10 from 4-6 p.m. at the Cooper Tennis Complex community room. The event is free and open to the public, with refreshments available.

Missouri State announced Weber as its next tennis coach on Feb. 28 after reinstating women’s tennis for the 2014-2015 academic year. The program recently brought on board seven student-athletes for the upcoming season, including Springfield natives Belote and Rozell.
