2013 Missouri State Softball Bunting Bracket

Bunting BracketGet Acrobat Reader

The Missouri State softball team is taking part in bracket-mania with a team bunting bracket that will take place during team practice. The coaching staff and athletics communications personnel have set up a 24 person bracket including all 20 players, the three coaches and the SID. Each participant was seeded based on the below criteria:

Non-pitchers by number of sacrifice hits (most) through March 19.
If a tie, batting average for the season was used.
If further tied, number of games played
Pitcher then were ranked based on innings pitched this season
The coaching staff - Head Coach, Third Base Coach, First Base Coach
And finally, the team's SID

How it works:
Each matchup will attempt to bunt 5 strikes. The person to successfully "get down" the most fair bunts will advance. An additional incentive will be the placement of two hula hoops located in the most desirable location for a bunt to end up. If the bunt successfully rolls to a stop in one of the hula hoops, that bunt will count double.
