The Missouri State softball team (17-16, 5-7) will continue its nine-game home stand when Tulsa (26-8) comes to Killian Stadium for a 5:00 p.m. game. Free t-shirts will be given away while supplies last.

The Golden Hurricane are the fourth Bears' opponent from last year's NCAA Tournament. Missouri State played Tulsa three times last season, all away from Killian. The Golden Hurricane took all three games including the Bears' final game of the season as Tulsa eliminated the Bears from the NCAA Tournament on May 21, 2011.

Sophomore Ashley Brentz leads the Bears' offensive attack. She is hitting a team-high .340 with 16 walks, nine runs batted in and six stolen bases. Last week, she recorded nine hits in five games, including four-straight games with two hits. She is the only player this season to record multiple hits in four straight games; the last to accomplish the feat was Tyler Porter from May 13 through May 21, 2011.

Freshman hurler Chelsea Jones is coming off a stellar week in which she threw six no-hit innings at UMKC last Tuesday. She was also the winning pitcher on Friday against Bradley with a complete game six-hitter.

Following Wednesday's game, the Bears will host a three-game set against Southern Illinois on April 14 and 15. A free youth clinic will be held following Sunday's game. The Bears will play a double header against Wichita State next Wednesday, April 18 to wrap up the home stand. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket window at Killian Stadium on game days.
