Missouri State Softball to Host Free Instructional Clinics in April
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- In conjunction with the Springfield-Greene County Park Board and the Women’s Intersport Network of Springfield, the Missouri State softball program will sponsor a pair of free skills clinics at Killian Softball Stadium following the Bears’ Sunday home games in April.
The instructional sessions, which will be conducted by members of the Missouri State softball team and coaching staff, will focus on the basic skills of softball, including throwing, catching and base running. Girls ages 8-13 are eligible to attend the clinics, which will be held on the field at Killian following the Bears’ noon contests against Evansville on April 19 and Creighton on April 26. All children (ages 13 and under) will receive complimentary admission to both contests.
Tickets for the two games, as well as all MSU home contests in 2009, are available through Missouri State Tix at (417) 836-7678. Additional information on the clinics may be obtained by contacting the Missouri State softball office at (417) 836-8384.
