Softball Games at Loyola Rescheduled for April 7
March 26, 2014
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Missouri State softball team will make its first trip to Chicago later than expected as the schools announced today that last weekend's cancelled series will be made up as a doubleheader on April 7. The Bears (18-9, 1-2) will face the Ramblers (10-15, 1-2) in a doubleheader at Loyola Softball Park at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7.
The matchup will be the first-ever between Missouri State and Loyola on a softball diamond. Missouri State was scheduled to be the first home Valley series for Loyola, but winter weather forced the series to be cancelled. The Ramblers host Drake this weekend and the rescheduled doubleheader with the Bears will be the second home series for Loyola.
Missouri State begins a four-game home stretch this week with a 4:00 p.m. game today against No. 17/18 Tulsa (28-3) at Killian Stadium. The Bears will play Southern Illinois this weekend with noon starts on Saturday and Sunday.
