Missouri State Softball Home Opener Moved to Thursday
March 10, 2014
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Missouri State softball team (12-7) will have to wait another day to play a home game as a blustery forecast has forced Wednesday's home opener to be moved to Thursday. The Bears and SIU Edwardsville will face off at Killian Stadium at 4:00 p.m.
The game can be heard locally on KBFL (1060 AM) or online at radiospringfield.com. Thursday's game, and all home softball games, can be viewed online through Bears All-Access, a subscription-based multimedia service available at MissouriStateBears.com.
Thursday's home opener marks the beginning of a five-game home stand for Missouri State. The Bears will open conference play on Saturday (March 15) with a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader against Bradley. The series will conclude on Sunday with a single game also at 12:00 p.m. MSU's home stand will wrap up on Tuesday (March 18) with a 5:00 p.m. game against Northern Colorado.
Missouri State will travel to Conway, Ark., on Tuesday to conclude a 20-game season-opening road trip with a rescheduled 5:00 p.m. game against Central Arkansas.
