SPRINGIFELD, Mo. - The Missouri State softball team (10-3) has announced changes to the upcoming schedule due to the forecast associated with new winter storm Titan. The Bears will travel to Cape Girardeau, Mo., as planned for this weekend's Missouri Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament. However, the weekend has been shortened to just one day due to the forecast and the withdrawal of UMKC from the tournament. MSU will play Saint Louis (6-3) and host SEMO (4-5) on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 pm., respectively. Sunday's games and games involving UMKC have been cancelled.

To make up for the loss of games, Missouri State has also announced that the scheduled single game at UMKC on March 19 will now be a doubleheader between the Bears and Kangaroos.

Following this weekend's action, the Bears travel to Conway, Ark., next Wednesday for a single game at Central Arkansas. The season opening road trip will conclude next weekend (March 7-9) in Stillwater, Okla., at the Oklahoma State Mizuno Classic.

The Bears' home opener is scheduled for March 12 vs. SIU Edwardsville at 5:00 p.m. That game begins a five-game home stand that includes the MVC opening series against Bradley (March 15-16).
