Weather Causes Schedule Changes for Missouri State Softball

Feb. 27, 2013

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The recent cold weather and snow along with a similar forecast has forced several changes to the upcoming Missouri State softball schedule. In addition to the cancelled home opener scheduled for Thursday, February 28 vs. Wright State, this weekend's Missouri Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament in Cape Girardeau, Mo., has also been cancelled.

The Bears (7-8) have been able to reschedule one of those cancelled games and will now play UMKC at Killian Stadium in a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 19 beginning at 3:00 p.m. This doubleheader will replace the single game that was scheduled for March 20.

The MSU coaching staff is working to reschedule some of the other cancelled games. Missouri already plays a single game at Killian Stadium on April 3. Missouri State found out late on Tuesday that the game with Wright State will not be made up.

The next currently scheduled MSU softball game will be on Tuesday, March 12 when the Bears will play a doubleheader at Memphis beginning at 2:00 p.m.
