Trickey will be a spark at the plate for the Bears and is an aggressive outfielder with speed.
Trickey played in 44 games, primarily as a pinch runner, but received a start on three dates ... went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored in first start of the season at Kennesaw State on opening day (Feb. 8) ... had three pinch hits in three attempts while driving in three runs at the UTSA Classic (Feb. 15-17) ... hit a two-run double at Chattanooga in win over Mocs in Frost Classic finale (Feb. 24) ... her four pinch hits were tops on the team ... led the team with a .429 average with runners in scoring position ... her .421 on-base percentage was third on the team.
Trickey appeared in 31 games and earned the start in the season opener against Sam Houston State (February 17) ... scored 11 runs, the fifth-most on the team ... stole a base in each game of the doubleheader at Drake on March 31 ... picked up a stolen base and scored a run in the Bears' MVC Tournament opening round win over Bradley (May 10) ... crossed the plate in four-straight appearances from March 4-22.
Trickey came to Missouri State after a standout prep career at Belleville East High School, where she picked up a trio of all-area nods ... a catcher and infielder for the Lancers, she holds her school's record for career stolen bases ... led the Southwestern Conference in stolen bases in 2011 and 2010 ... earned first-team all-conference accolades as a senior and as a junior ... was named to the all-state honorable mention team as a junior ... a four-sport athlete at East, Trickey also competed in volleyball, basketball and cross country.
Alissa Leigh Trickey is the daughter of Diana and Jerry Trickey ... born September 11, 1992, in Belleville, Ill. ... has two sisters, Anna and Kate ... majoring in exercise and movement science at MSU.
