McPherson played in 43 games, starting 33, in her first season with the Bears ... was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases, one of just three Bears to not get caught stealing ... picked up the first of her 19 hits against UNI on February 25 ... slammed her first career home run in the regular season finale at Creighton (May 6) ... had a six-game hitting streak from March 16-24, tied for the longest hitting streak on the team in 2012 ... had two multi-RBI games, both on the road (March 24 at Evansville and May 6 at Creighton) ... scored a run in five consecutive games from March 16-24.

McPherson was a four-time all-district and all-conference honoree at Oak Grove (Mo.) High School, leading the Panthers to their first district title in seven years in 2010 ... enjoyed a banner senior year, hitting .479 to earn all-state recognition ... primarily a catcher for Oak Grove, McPherson has the versatility to play infield and outfield for the Bears ... also competed in basketball for Oak Grove and helped her Originals 16U club team to a third-place finish at the ASA Northern Nationals in 2009 and a first-place finish at the Colorado Fireworks in 2010.
