At Missouri State: One of two returning all-MVC performers for the Bears, Brooke Kempker is MSU's most-experienced veteran in the outfield and will be looked upon to play an even bigger role in her final collegiate season.

2008: As a junior, Kempker started 49 of 50 games in the Bears' outfield, hitting .279 overall ... batted a team-high .327 during MVC play en route to garnering second-team all-conference honors ... her .403 on-base percentage also led the Bears in conference play, and her 18 MVC hits ranked second on the club ... recorded a hit in nine of MSU's final 11 games of the season, including her third five-game hitting streak of the season (5/3 through 5/9); also hit in five consecutive contests from March 29-April 2 and March 2-14 ... posted four multi-hit games, including three during MVC play ... hit by a team-high six pitches, which ranked fifth in the conference; enters her senior season with 16 career HBPs ... went 2-for-3 in the Bears' 5-4 MVC Tournament semifinal win over Illinois State (5/9) ... had two hits, including a double, and scored the Bears' only runs in a 3-2 loss at Evansville (4/19).

2007: Kempker started 39 games and appeared 43 total, batting .236 with 13 runs and 15 RBIs. She recorded four RBIs against MVC foe Evansville (3/31/07) on a pair of doubles.

2006: Kempker saw action in 11 games as a freshman off the bench, registering one hit in eight at-bats and scoring a run to go with two walks.

Background: Kempker came to the Bears as a three-time Missouri all-state honoree and four-time All-Show-Me Conference pick. Kempker was a four-year starter for the Cole R-V Eugene Eagles and helped her team to conference titles each year, with a combined conference record of 23-1 over those four years. Kempker hit .429 for the Eagles in her senior campaign, knocking in 16 runs on 33 hits. Kempker also started two seasons for the Cole R-V Eugene basketball squad, leading her team to a conference championship as a senior.

Personal: Brooke Renae Kempker is the daughter of Dan and Diana Kempker. She was born September 7, 1986, in Jefferson City, Mo. She is majoring in marketing with an emphasis in advertising and promotion.
