Coil is motivated to make her senior season her best and to go out strong. She hit the ball well in the fall and is good handling the pitchers.

2015 [-Junior-]
Coil saw action in 43 games and got the starting nod behind the plate on 36 occasions ... threw out eight potential base stealers, including three in one game at SIU Edwardsville (March 25) ... had career-highs in at-bats (81), hits (11), RBI (8) and walks (4) ... picked up her first hit of the season against Big Ten foe Iowa (Feb. 22) ... had three hits in the home doubleheader versus UMKC (March 11) and drove in a run in each game ... walked, scored a run and drove in two at Indiana State in the series finale (March 29) ... drew a walk and scored against SEMO (March 31) ... drove in a run in each of the final two games of the Evansville series (April 4-5) ... tied a season high with two hits in the series opener versus Loyola (April 11) ... drove in two runs, scored a run and had two hits, including a scoreboard-clearing home run, at Wichita State (April 15) ... drew a walk in the MVC Tournament final versus Indiana State (May 9).

2014 [-Sophomore-]
Coil played in 36 games receiving 23 starts behind the plate ... hit safely in three-straight games from Feb. 14 to Feb. 21 ... went 2-for-3 against South Dakota State (Feb. 15) ... went 1-for-1 with a walk and a run scored against Drake (March 7) ... successfully put down two sacrifice bunts versus SIU Edwardsville (March 13) ... had a 1-for-2 outing in the regular season finale at Evansville (May 4) ... dropped a successful sacrifice bunt in the MVC Tournament against UNI (May 8).

2013 [-Freshman-]
Coil played in 24 games, getting the starting assignment on 15 occasions ... hit .360 and had a .448 on-base percentage on the year, both team highs ... topped the team with a .684 success rate of advancing runners, aided by seven sacrifice bunts ... hit .538 and had a .846 slugging percentage in conference games ... slammed a two-run home run at Drake (March 30) in her only pinch hit at-bat of the year ... was a perfect 2-for-2 against left-handed pitching ... went 1-for-2 in her first conference game at Indiana State (March 23) driving in two runs in an MSU win ... had her first multi-hit game with a 2-for-3 performance in a victory over Evansville (April 20) ... legged out an infield single and later scored in a four-run inning in comeback win at Wichita State (April 24).

Coil was a four-year starter behind the dish for head coach Rick Nordyke at Edmond North High ... batted .477 with a team record 62 RBI in her senior season en route to Conference Player of the Year and all-state accolades ... was a four-time all-city and all-conference selection ... advanced her team to the 6A regional championship for a third-straight season her senior campaign ... as a junior, Coil hit .387 with 48 RBI ... her Oklahoma Force summer team advanced to its third-straight USA/ASA National Championship Tournament in 2011 after winning the ASA State Title each of her seasons on the team.

Braxton Ayn Coil is the daughter of Rebecca and Jeff Coil ... born March 10, 1994, in Edmond, Okla. ... has one brother, Cooper ... is a psychology major at MSU.
