Reppell, Teahan Earn CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District Second Team Honors



Missouri State women's soccer players Jordan Reppell and Jessica Teahan were named to the CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District VII second team.  Teahan, who holds a cumulative grade point average of 3.81, is a junior social work major.  Reppell holds a 3.61 cumulative GPA as a senior entertainment management major.

Reppell was named to the Academic All-MVC first team and an NSCAA All-Midwest Region third teamer in 2009.  She also earned All-MVC first team honors in 2009 and 2008 and second-team accolades in 2007.  She was an MVC All-Freshman team member in 2007.  Reppell scored her first career goal, the game-winner, on October 3 against SIU Edwardsville.  She earned her second career MVC Defensive Player of the Week award on October 4, 2010.

Teahan earned Academic All-MVC and All-MVC first team honors in 2009.  She was named MVC Defensive Player of the Week twice that year.  She owns a 0.86 career goals against average, the best mark in MSU history.  Teahan also ranks in the top-five in every other goalkeeper statistic for her Missouri State career.

The Bears will travel to Omaha, Neb., as the No. 2-seed in the MVC Tournament.  Missouri State will face Illinois State in the semifinals at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.  It is the 15th straight season that MSU has competed in the MVC Tournament.
