Bears Set to Face Drake on Friday for Pink Night at Plaster Field

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Missouri State women's soccer team (5-7-2, 2-0-1) brings an unblemished conference record into Friday's home match against Drake (2-9-3, 0-2-0). The Bears and Bulldogs will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. on Pink Night at Plaster Field.
"We are looking forward to being back at home," said head coach Rob Brewer. "I hope we battle as hard at home as we have on the road the last three weeks."
Missouri State is undefeated in the last five matches and sits in a tie atop the MVC standings entering Friday's match. The last five matches between MSU and Drake have seen the victorious side keep a clean sheet.

The Bears have played into overtime in the last three road matches, two of which have been conference games. Missouri State has surrendered just four goals in the last seven matches, tallying eight goals over that stretch.
Shelby Stewart leads the Bears with 10 points (4 G, 2 A) this season. The last time the Bears played Drake in Springfield, Stewart assisted on the only goal of the match in a 1-0 MSU victory.
Friday's match has been designated Pink Night at Plaster, fans will receive free admission to the match and are encouraged to make a donation to support breast cancer research. With a donation, fans will also be entered into a drawing for a team autographed pink soccer ball.
