Women's Soccer Battles Saint Louis University to 0-0 Tie



The Missouri State women’s Soccer team battled Saint Louis University to a 0-0 tie Sunday afternoon in the finale of the Toys for Tots Tournament in Saint Louis, Mo. The 0-0 draw is the first tie of the season giving the Bears a 3-2-1 record.

Missouri State’s defense was solid once again as senior goalkeeper Jackie Jasper recoded nine saves in the match, earning her fourth shutout of the season. Billikens’ keeper Hannah Perry posted one save in the contest.

Saint Louis out-shot the Bears 27-10. Senior Allison Osmundson and junior Samantha Aguilar each posted four shots. The Billikens also earned a 13-3 margin in corner kicks, recording 11 corners after the first-half.

Seniors Jasper and Osmundson were joined on the All-Tournament team by sophomore defender Jordan Reppell.

The Missouri State women’s soccer squad will be back in action on Friday, September 12 when they play host to the University of Kansas. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
