Nine Set to Join Missouri State Women's Soccer for the 2013 Season

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Missouri State women's soccer head coach Rob Brewer announced today that he will add nine players to the program for 2013.

"We are very excited to be adding such a talented class for 2013," said Brewer. "Our new athletes will complement the returning roster very nicely. Huber, a transfer from Kentucky, brings tremendous experience as an attacking player. I see the goalkeepers coming in and competing for playing time immediately. We are also bringing in talent that will fill in the midfield and back line."

2013 Women's Soccer Commitments:
Brooke Blasingame, D, Maryville, Ill. (Collinsville High/St. Louis Scott Gallagher Metro)

Blasingame has been a three-year starter and letterwinner at Collinsville High. As a junior, she was named the Conference Defensive Player of the Year. She helped lead her 18-4-2 team to conference, regional and sectional titles. During her sophomore season, her team took the conference title. As a freshman, Blasingame helped the Lady Kahoks to a regional championship. She also earned an academic all-conference honor in 2011. Her father, Jeb, played soccer at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Anna Conway, D, Omaha, Neb. (Skutt Catholic High/Elite Girls Academy Maroon)
Conway has started and lettered in each of her first three seasons for head coach John Carlson. In her junior season, she earned first-team all-state honors for the state finalist SkyHawks. An all-conference selection that season, she was also named the Coaches Defender of the Year. During her freshman and sophomore campaigns, Conway led SCHS to back-to-back Nebraska State Championships. She picked up all-state honorable mention as a sophomore. Her club team has won the State Cup Title in each of her three seasons.

Alaina Derse, M/F, Valley Park, Mo. (Parkway South High/J.B. Marine)
Derse was a four-year starter and letterwinner for head coach Al Trost at Parkway South High. She was named a team captain as a senior. During Derse's junior season, she was a first-team all-conference selection after leading the team in assists and was named the team's Offensive Player of the Year. She scored two goals against rival Parkway West to help her team advance to the semifinals of the district championship. Derse was a captain four seasons with her select team, J.B. Marine, advancing to the state cup finals and regionals her junior and senior seasons, respectively. Derse was a member of the MO ODP '95 team. She also played basketball for her first two seasons at PSHS.



Molly Huber, M/F, Jr., St. Louis, Mo. (Ursuline Academy/Kentucky/St. Louis Scott Gallagher)
Huber comes to Missouri State after spending her first two collegiate seasons at Kentucky. She saw action in eight games as a sophomore and scored a pair of goals in 20 matches as a freshman for the Wildcats. As a senior at Ursuline Academy, Huber scored both goals against Incarnate Word Academy to win the 2011 Class 3 State Championship. She was an all-state selection for UA. During her junior season, she earned all-conference honors. Huber tallied 28 goals and 25 assists in two seasons at Ursuline. As a member of the Region II 1993 ODP Team, Huber competed in the Portugal International trip in April 2010, playing against the Ireland U-17 and U-19 National Teams and Benfica Lisbon Portuguese Futbol Club. Huber also lettered in lacrosse as a sophomore at Ursuline.

Laura Ketzer, GK, Groebenzell, Germany (Gymnasium Groebenzell/Technical University of Munich)
Ketzer has been an active member of FFC Wacker Munchen since 2009. She was a member of the Youth Team (U-17) and is now on the squad of the first women's team. Ketzer has made 11 Regionalliga appearances for FFC Wacker Munchen, six with the first team and 5 with the second team. Eight times in the last four years, Ketzer has been awarded Best Goal Keeper of Competition at various indoor and outdoor events.

Millie Kingsbury, M, Kansas City, Mo. (Oak Park High/Harambe Viati)
Kingsbury enters her senior season at Oak Park after starting and lettering at midfield in each of her first three seasons. As a junior, she scored 15 goals and added 13 assists en route to all-conference first team and all-district honorable mention accolades. Her sophomore year, she scored six goals and eight assists and was named the team's Midfielder of the Year. She registered 11 assists as a freshman, earning all-conference honorable mention honors. She led her club team to the Missouri State Cup Title in 2012. Kingsbury is also a talented tennis player, helping Oak Park go 39-1 over three seasons. Her father, John, played basketball at Missouri State during the 1961-62 season.

Evan Stamp, GK, Wichita, Kan. (Andover Central High)
Stamp enters her senior season with a school record 38 wins and has 21 shutouts to her credit. A three-year starter and letterwinner for head coach Stephanie Garcia, Stamp earned all-league, all-region and all-metro first team honors as a junior. She picked up honorable mention all-state laurels and was team captain. Her sophomore season, Stamp led her team to the league and regional titles while earning all-league, all-region and all-state honors. In the regional title game, she made 15 saves and collected the win in PKs. During her freshman season, she set school records with 17 wins and 10 shutouts, leading Andover Central to the first league and regional title in school history. Stamp led her club team to the Kansas State Cup finals last fall. She also played basketball for four seasons with the Jaguars and is the student body president as a senior.

Ashley Tallerine, D, Spring, Texas (Klein Collins High/Challenge SC)
Tallerine played one season at Klein Collins High before playing exclusively for a pair of team at Challenge SC for the past three seasons, one of which was the Elite Clubs National League team. As a senior, she helped Challenge SC ECNL team to a top-6 finish in the Texas Conference before advancing to the ECNL Finals. During her sophomore season with Challenge SC, she was instrumental in her team winning the Disney Showcase. As a freshman, she earned all-district honors at KCHS. During that freshman year, she also aided her club team in capturing the South Texas President's Cup for the second-straight year.

Casey Williamson, M/D, Lee's Summit, Mo. (Lee's Summit North High/Blue Valley Soccer Club)
Williamson has started and lettered in her first three seasons at Lee's Summit North. As a junior, she picked up first-team all-state, all-metro, all-district and all-conference honors in leading her team to a second-place finish at state. Her sophomore season, she tallied four goals and a pair of assists while earning all-conference and all-district honors. She led her team to the sectional title and a first-place finish at MO-KAN Tournament. Williamson scored 11 goals and added six assists her freshman year as an all-conference second team forward. Her team took the sectional championship that season as well.
