At Missouri State: Allison Osmundson returns as a three-year starter for the Bears' and will be a major contributor in the midfield. 2007: Osmundson earned first team All-MVC accolades and was a member of the MVC All-Tournament team as a junior, scoring two game-winning goals and adding an assist on the year. Her two game-winners came in victories over Northern Iowa (10/19) and the Bears 1-0 victory over Drake (10/21). 2006: Osmundson started all 20 matches she played in as a sophomore at defender, contributing one assist. Her assist came in a 7-1 blowout win over Northern Iowa (10/1). She also fired 28 shots, with 10 being on goal. Her presence on the backline helped lead to six shutouts and an impressive 1.04 team goals-against average. 2005: In her first season with the program, Osmundson started all 18 matches and posted 26 shots, four goals and one assist. She had one game-winning goal, which came against Indiana State with just over a minute left in the second overtime period to give the Bears their first conference victory of the season. Her defense helped to lead Missouri State to a 1.03 goals-against average and helped set an MSU record for fewest saves in a season with 96. Osmundson was awarded Valley All-Conference honorable mention honors as well as being an MVC All-Freshman pick. She was also named the MVC Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 29. Background: Osmundson was named a unanimous all-conference first-team selection and second-team all-state pick in her senior campaign at Marshalltown High School in Iowa. She was an Iowa state all-star game participant. Osmundson was also a four-year starter for the Bobcat basketball squad, where she led Marshalltown in scoring and was a unanimous first-team all-conference pick, all-district selection, and second-team all-state honoree in her senior season. She was a member of the Ankeny Premier Club soccer team that won the 2004 state championship and was a 2005 regional semifinalist. Personal: Allison is the daughter of Mark and Emily Osmundson and was born March 16, 1987.
