More than 200 Missouri State student-athletes earn academic distinction
At Missouri State: Kerrigan will redshirt the 2013 season.
2012: Kerrigan started twice and played in 13 matches in her first season with the Bears. She registered an assist in the sixth minute of her first career match, on Erin Stewart's eventual game-winning goal against UALR (8/17). Kerrigan had four shots on the season, putting two on net. She played in all 12 non-conference matches.
Background: Kerrigan spent her senior season training with the IMG Soccer Academies. She led her IMG U-19 squad to a regional appearance following a runner-up finish in the Florida State Cup in 2012. She was named the girls' academy Offensive Player of the Year. In 2011, her IMG Academies team was ranked in the top-10 in Florida. She also led the IMG U-19 team to the Florida CDL Champions title for a squad that was 8-1-0. Her junior and sophomore seasons, she was team captain for FC Sarasota U-17 and U-16 teams, respectively. As a freshman, she played for Lakewood Ranch High. She helped the Mustangs to a district runner-up finish while earning all-county player of the year runner-up recognition. Kerrigan was named her high school's freshman of the year while playing on the varsity team. A National Honors Society member, Kerrigan also earned scholar-athlete recognition at LRHS.
Personal: Kerrigan is the daughter of Tim and Rachael Kerrigan and was born January 22, 1994. She plans to major in biology at Missouri State.
