At Missouri State: Coming off an outstanding season in 2013, Fouch brings a high level of leadership and confidence to the Bears.
2013: Fouch picked up one the league's top honors when she was named MVC Defensive Player of the Year. She also earned her second league honor with a first-team All-MVC selection. The stout defender aided the Bears in recording five shutouts. She started 18 of the Bears' 19 matches and played the second-most minutes (1,697). Her speed led to several offensive threats including six shots, two of which were on frame. Off the field, Fouch racked up several academic honors. She was named MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Week on October 2. Following the season, she earned NSCAA Scholar All-North/Central Region second team and MVC Scholar-Athlete honorable mention honors.
2012: Fouch started and played in 17 matches in her second season as a Bear. She was pivotal in the Bears' home shutout streak that extended 685 minutes from August 24 through overtime of the season finale on October 25. She registered her lone shot of the year against Creighton (10/14). Her play combined with her classroom work led to an Academic All-MVC honorable mention selection following the season.
2011: Fouch made an immediate impact recording an assist in her first match with the Bears. She was an All-MVC honorable mention and MVC All-Freshman team selection after starting all 19 matches on the backline. She was named MVC Newcomer of the Week on Oct. 4 following the Bears' third consecutive shutout in which Fouch cleared a ball off the endline to preserve the clean sheet against Illinois State (9/30). Fouch assisted on the game-winning goal against Oral Roberts (9/11).
Background: Fouch started all four years for head coach Dan Hogan at Francis Howell North. She earned all-conference first team honors her senior season and second team accolades her junior and sophomore seasons. The Knights were conference champions all four years of her career. Fouch was honored as GAC South Co-Player of the Year as a senior. As a senior, Fouch earned all-state second team honors. During her freshman season, she helped her team to district and regional titles. Her club team, Scott Gallagher, was state champs her junior and freshman seasons. She also played basketball for four years at Francis Howell North.
Personal: Fouch is the daughter of Tom and Sherri Fouch and was born March 28, 1993. She is an exercise and movement science major at MSU. Her father, Tom, won the 1976 National Championship in soccer for Meramac Community College before finishing his career at South Carolina.
