Background: Josten started and lettered all four seasons for head coach Dave Thurmer at Duchesne High. She was an all-state, all-metro, all-St. Louis, and all-conference first team selection as a senior. She scored six goals and added 12 assists as a senior team captain. As a junior, she earned all-conference first team and all-state honorable mention honors. She had a team-leading eight assists to go along with six goals her sophomore season en route to an all-conference first team selection. As a freshman, Josten scored five goals, including the game-winner in the district final, to lead the Pioneers to state and district championships. In the state final, she added two of her team-leading 10 assists. Josten was a conference all-academic team honoree all four seasons. She also competed a year each in basketball, cross country and softball at Duchesne High. Personal: Josten is the daughter of Timothy and Marilyn Josten and was born August 9, 1993. Her father, Tim, played collegiate baseball at Dayton. She is undecided on a major at MSU.
