At Missouri State: Jackie Jasper was named MVC Defensive Player of the Year, recording a 0.81 goals-against average and seven shutouts in 2007. Her 0.973 career goals-against average is the best mark in school history and she ranks second in shutouts (19), wins (30), saves (282) and minutes in goal (5,453). 2007: Jasper made all 19 starts for the Bears and was placed on the Valley All-Conference first team. She spent 1,772 mintues in goal, recording 76 saves and holding oppoents to only 16 goals. Japser was named MVC Player of the Week on Oct. 22 after leading the Bears to shutout victories over Northern Iowa (10/19) and Drake (10/21). 2006: Jasper earned first team All-MVC honors as she recorded six shutouts and posted a 1.05 GAA while starting all 21 matches. Her 10 wins in goal rank third-most in a season at Missouri State and her 114 saves during the season are fourth-best all-time. Her save total led the MVC and her six shutouts were tied for the most in the conference. Jasper's 1.05 GAA is second-best in a season and matched the mark from her freshman season. Her best effort of the season came in the first round of the MVC Tournament, as the keeper picked up 14 saves and a shutout in the Bears' 1-0 win over Illinois State (10/29). The 14 saves rank third-most in a match in school history. Jasper also had an 11-save performance in a 1-1 tie against Creighton (10/15). Jasper was twiced named MVC Defensive Player of the Week during the season. 2005: As a freshman, Jasper recorded seven shutouts to rank third in a single season at Missouri State. She started each of the Bears' 18 matches last season and picked up 92 saves. Her 1.05 goals-against average ranked second in MSU single-season history and her nine wins in goal are tied for fourth. Jasper was named to the All-MVC First Team and to the MVC All-Freshman Team. She was named MVC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 3. Background: Jasper came to Missouri State as a four-time all-conference pick, three-time all-sectional team selection, and two-time all-state honoree for the Lockport Township Porters. Jasper started all four seasons at Lockport Township High with a goals-against average of 0.98 and 323 saves in her junior campaign. She led her club team, the Windy City Pride, to consecutive Illinois State Cup titles and a second-place finish at nationals in 2004.
