At Missouri State: Lauren Heck will join fellow senior Kate Blair as a four-year starter in 2007. Heck has started 48 matches so far in her career at Missouri State in the midfield. 2006: Heck started all 21 matches as a junior and was an All-MVC honorable mention selection. Her only goal of the season came in a clutch situation, as she netted the game winner in double overtime of a 4-3 conference victory over Evansville (10/8). Heck recorded 20 shots, including five on goal, during the seeason. 2005: As a sophomore, Heck scored a goal, added two assists, and totaled 24 shots. Heck's lone goal came in the Bears' final contest of the season against Evansville in the first round of the MVC Tournament. Her goal tied the score at 2-2, sending the match into overtime. 2004: Heck saw action in all 17 contests for Missouri State as a freshman, starting 13 matches. She scored her first collegiate goal and the only of her freshman campign in a 1-1 tie against Tulsa. She also recorded 25 shots during the season. Heck was named to the MVC All-Freshman team. She was also involved in breaking the Missouri State women's soccer single-season records with a 0.73 goals-against average and just 13 goals allowed. Background: Heck was a four-year letterwinner at Olathe South High. Heck was named to the All-Sunflower First Team and the all-state team her junior season as she help her team to a conference title and No. 4 national ranking. Personal: Lauren is the daughter of Rick and Nikki Heck and was born Sept. 22, 1985.
