At Missouri State: Christine Cross is a versatile asset for the Bears as a midfielder or a defender.
2010: In her return from injury, Cross played in every match, starting 17 times. She assisted on Tiffany Laughlin's game-winning goal against UALR (8/27). She recorded shots in matches at UNI (9/24) and versus Evansville (10/28).
2009: Cross redshirted the season due to injury.
2008: Cross was named All-MVC honorable mention and received her second letter during her sophomore season. She tallied two goals and five assists on the season. She scored her goals in victories over SIU Edwardsville (9/28) and Creighton (10/20). She set a career high with two assists in the 3-0 win at UNI (10/10). Her other three assists also came in wins at SEMO (8/29), vs. Nicholls State (9/19) and at Oral Roberts (9/26). Cross started 16 of her 19 matches played.
2007: In her freshman campaign, Cross played in all 19 matches and made four starts. She tallied two points on two assists in wins over Murray State (9/12) and UNI (10/19). Cross was selected to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman team.
Background: Cross led Lee's Summit North to four district championships, earning first-team all-district honors all four years and setting the school's career assists record with 19. She helped lead the Broncos to the state semifinals as a senior, earning second-team all-conference and first-team all-area accolades. In Cross's junior season, the team went undefeated during conference play, won sectionals and competed in the state quarterfinals. She was voted to the all-conference second team and the all-area first team. Cross also earned first-team all-conference honors as a freshman. The Lee's Summit, Mo., native played for the KC Dynamos club team.
Personal: Cross is the daughter of Forbes and Wendy Cross and was born August 17, 1988. She is a social work major. Her sister, Grace, is a junior on the team this year.
