At Missouri State: Zimmerman is a versatile, tough defender with the ability to be on the pitch on the backline or as a center mid right away.
Background: Zimmerman started and lettered four seasons at Blue Valley High for head coach K. Dean Snell. She earned first-team all-state and All-EKL as a second-year team captain her senior season while tallying 10 assists to tie for second in school history. Her junior season, Zimmerman tallied nine assists while earning first-team all-state, all-region and all-conference honors. Her BVHS squad was ranked 13th nationally in 2013. As a sophomore, she picked up first-team all-region and all-conference accolades along with an all-state honorable mention selection. Zimmerman recorded six assists as a freshman and led the Tigers to a Class 5A regional title. She has a three-star rating on Top Drawer Soccer. Zimmerman plays for Sporting Blue Valley Soccer Club which is ranked 3rd nationally and has qualified for the Elite Club National League national championship in 2014. The squad won the ECNL Midwest Conference Championship in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Personal: Zimmerman is the daughter of Duane and Barb Zimmerman and was born March 9, 1996. She will major in education at Missouri State.
