At Missouri State:Chelsea Anderson will bring a lot of experience as a forward as she enters her final year as a Bear. Anderson led MSU in goals scored with seven, including two game-winners as a junior. 2005: Anderson guided the Bears offensively with 18 points, 44 shots and 26 shots on goal. She also posted four assists on the season. Anderson scored her first career hat trick in the Bears' game against Northern Iowa, earning her team the 3-1 victory. The hat trick was only the third in Missouri State women's soccer history. Anderson was named to the MVC all-tournament team, MVC all-conference second team and was an MVC Scholar-Athlete first team pick. 2004: Anderson put up two goals, including one game-winner and two assists in 15 matches as a sophomore. She had the game-winning goal in the Bears' 6-1 win over the Murray State Racers and the lone goal in a 1-1 tie with Illinois State. 2003: Anderson appeared in 21 matches with 15 starts as a freshman and led the team in every offensive category, including goals (5), assists (3), points (13) and game-winning goals (3). Anderson recorded game-winning goals against Memphis, Tulsa, and Evansville, and was a second team MVC all-conference selection. Background: Anderson was a four-year mainstay in the Bulldogs' midfield corps at Burke High, receiving second-team all-state and first-team all-metro honors as a junior. She was selected all-state honorable mention and all-district her sophomore and junior seasons and was a four-year member of the state's Olympic Development Team. Anderson was a member of the West Omaha Gladiators club team in Omaha, Neb. Personal: Chelsea is the daughter of Steve and Marian Anderson and she was born Oct. 14, 1984.
