2015: Derse saw action in a reserve role in 14 matches in 2015. She recorded a pair of shots in MSU's home win over Western Illinois (9/20). She played a season-high 31 minutes in the MVC Tournament match versus UNI (11/1).

2014: Derse played in six matches for the Bears in 2014. She recorded her only shot of the year against Arkansas State (9/7). Derse was on the pitch for 27 minutes at Arkansas, a season-high for minutes played.

2013: Derse played in 14 matches as a freshman at MSU. She scored her first career goal, the game-winner, at Central Arkansas on Sept. 6. She also recorded a shot at Western Illinois (9/13).

Background: Derse was a four-year starter and letterwinner for head coach Al Trost at Parkway South High. She was named a team captain as a senior and earned team MVP and Best Offensive Player honors. During Derse's junior season, she was a first-team all-conference selection after leading the team in assists and was named the team's Offensive Player of the Year. She scored two goals against rival Parkway West to help her team advance to the semifinals of the district championship. Derse was a captain four seasons with her select team, J.B. Marine, advancing to the state cup finals and regionals her junior and senior seasons, respectively. Derse was a member of the MO ODP `95 team. She also played basketball for her first two seasons at PSHS.

Personal: Derse is the daughter of Don and Cindy Derse and was born March 7, 1995. She is a chemistry major at MSU.
