Bears Lead Islander Spring Classic
 

 

 

The Missouri State women's golf team is in first place after Monday's first and second rounds of the Ed Hicks Nissan Islander Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Bears shot a combined score of 600 on the first day with rounds three and four to be played Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 8:15 a.m.

Sally Hinton and Missy Linnens lead the Bears with two-round totals of 148 and are tied for sixth place. MSU's Amy Phalaljivin is tied for 14th with a two-round total of 151 and Lyndsey Adams and Jillian Anthony are tied for 31st with a 155.

Sam Houston State sits in second place after the first two rounds with a combined score of 605, followed by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with a 608, Redlands Community College with a 610 and Lamar University rounds out the top five in the 15-team field with a 611.
