MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Missouri State women's golf squad remained in seventh place to conclude its Fall season at the FedEx Memphis Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Oct. 23). In their final action of 2012, the Bears carded a 321-318-305--944. MSU was one three schools to shoot a 305 in the final round, which was the best team score in the 14-team field on Tuesday.

Samford took home team honors at the tournament winning by 14 strokes over second-place Xavier (927). Also finishing ahead of the Bears were Memphis (932), Louisiana Monroe (933), Central Arkansas (938) and Redlands Community College (940).

Sophomore Chiara Citterio (79-79-72--230) tied a career-low round with a 1-over-par 72 on Tuesday, which also served as the best third-round score among all 72 golfers. The sophomore pieced together back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14 to pace the Bears early. She was Missouri State's top finisher at the FedEx Memphis Intercollegiate, finishing in a five-way tie for eighth place.

Clegg, who was coming off of a runner-up finish at the Payne Stewart Memorial, also got off to a good start on Tuesday. Like Citterio, the Lancashire, England native birdied two holes in-a-row (12 & 13). The reigning MVC Women's Golfer of the Week carded her best round of the tournament and finished in a tie for 24th (80-79-78--237).

Freshman Ariel Tidwell provided Missouri State with its third athlete in the top 30. The Bears' newcomer recorded a 239 (82-77-80) to finish three spots behind Clegg in a tie for 27th.

MSU's Lindsey Eisenreich improved her second-round score by five strokes and finished Tuesday with her best round of the tournament. With an 89-83-78--250, Eisenreich finished in a tie for 53rd.
