Missouri State Women's Golf Eleventh after 36 Holes

Tulsa, Okla. - At the end of the first day of competition at Meadowbrook Country Club, the Missouri State women's golf team sits in eleventh place in the Oral Roberts University Shootout.
Leading the way for the Bears is junior Megan Thompson, who scored 74-77--151 to begin the par 71, 6,120-yard course. Thompson's 9-over par puts her in an eight-way tie for seventh place.
With the low four golfers for each school scoring, junior Chiara Citterio 75-80--155, sophomore Ariel Tidwell 79-81-160, and sophomore Megan Furnish 88-77--165 have also contributed to the Missouri State total. Freshman Caroline Boone, the final golfer for the Bears, totaled 91-77--168 through the first two rounds.
After 36 holes, Lamar University leads, shooting 599, 31-over par, followed by Arkansas State (610), Oral Roberts (611), Arkansas-Little Rock (616), and Incarnate Word (617) rounding out the top five.
The final round is scheduled to start with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday morning.
