Golfweek Challenge Day One Results Get Acrobat Reader

The opening round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge was a tough one for the Missouri State women's golf team on Monday (Sept. 24). The Bears opened play in the three-day event with a 318 team total, leaving them last in the 18-team field.

Sophomore Megan Thompson and senior Emma Clegg led the way for the Bears, posting 76 and 77, respectively, on the par 72 Fazio Course at Red Sky Ranch in Wolcott, Colo. Thompson is tied for 39th while Clegg is tied for 45th.

Sophomore Chiara Citterio was next for the Bears with 82 and in a tie for 78th, while senior Hermine Greyling shot 83 and is 80th. Freshman Ariel Tidwell is 89th after shooting 89.

Pepperdine and Oklahoma are tied for the lead after posting 286, with UC Davis next at 292 in the field that features nine teams ranked in the top 50 nationally.

MSU will tee off at 12 noon (Central) Tuesday for the second round and will be paired with second-ranked UCLA and Tulsa.
