LINCOLN, Neb. - The Missouri State women's golf team opened the 2013 season with rounds of 302 and 312 on day one of the Chip-N-Club Invitational.

The two-day tournament was played in 100-degree temperatures with strong winds throughout both rounds.

Despite the conditions, the Bears sit in fourth place out of thirteen schools at the conclusion of day one. The Bears scored a combined 614, 38-over par. In front of Missouri State are University of Nebraska in first, Central Arkansas second, and Wichita State closing out the top three.

The tournament concludes with round three at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.
