PRIMM, Nev. - The Missouri State women's golf team shot records low of 2014 after shooting 320-310-323—953 in the Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State. The 953 is the Bears best score since last October’s Palmetto Intercollegiate, and the fourth place finish tied the Missouri State position at this season’s MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial.

The MSU final score trails only Oral Roberts (311-307316—934), Grand Canyon (309-312-325--946), and Winthrop (318-316-317—951). Sixteen schools competed in the two-day tournament.

Junior Estefania Acosta placed fourth individually in the 90-golfer field. The Bethune-Cookman transfer’s 76-79-76—231 is her second-best three-round total as a Bear.

Megan Furnish (78-82-78—238) played herself into a tie for 12th place, after moving up the standings with her final round 6-over. Ariel Tidwell also recorded a top-20 finish for the Bears, after carding 84-72-84—240 over the two days.

Megan Thompson (82-77-85--244) is in a tie for 34th and Caroline Boone’s 87-83-89—259 was good for a 76th place finish.

Grand Canyon's Charlotte Jaengkit (76-69-78—223) held her lead atop the Jackrabbit Invitational, finishing five-strokes lower than second place finisher Susan Kirschenman (80-70-78—228). Oral Roberts’ Alhehi Moreno (76-76-77—229) rounds out the top three, and was only two strokes ahead of Acosta.

Missouri State returns to the course next Monday and Tuesday at the UALR Classic in Hot Springs, Ark.
