Field Hockey Home Opener Tonight vs Lindenwood
 

 

 

The Missouri State field hockey team, (3-1), opens its 2008 home schedule tonight against Lindenwood University (3-0), at Plaster Field at 7 p.m.

 

The Bears are led by junior forward Melissa Lantz, scoring five of the Bears’ 10 goals. Also, 15 of her 20 shots have been on goal, giving her a 75 percent shot on goal average.

 

Senior goalkeeper Jessica Schuster is in the pipes this year for the Bears. In four games, Schuster has allowed 10 goals but has collected 19 saves. Freshman goalkeeper Mackenzie Crawford also saw some playing time against Indiana last weekend in St. Louis.

 

Dawn Callahan begins her 11th season as head coach of the field hockey Bears.
