At Missouri State: As a senior, Whitney Barrett will be a member of the Bears' stifling defense. In 2006, Barrett played in 17 matches with two starts. In her sophomore season, she played in nine matches with two starts. Barrett saw action in two games as a freshman in 2004.

Background: Barrett came to Missouri State after an outstanding prep career at Lake Forest High School. She was a three-year starter, earning all-state honors as a senior. Also in her senior year, she was team captain and helped the Scouts to state championships in her sophomore and junior seasons and a third place finish her last prep year. While at LFHS, Barrett helped the Scouts to a 56-3-2 record.

Personal: Barrett was born on Oct. 22, 1985, in Chicago, Ill. She is the daughter of Tom and Carla Barrett.
