The Missouri State Lady Bears (4-6, 0-0 MVC) close out the non-conference portion of their schedule Sunday afternoon at North Texas (5-6) with a 2 p.m. contest against the Mean Green.
The Lady Bears enter Sunday's match-up on a three-game winning streak and have not trailed for the last 104 minutes, eight seconds of game time.
Missouri State returns home from North Texas to open the Missouri Valley Conference season Jan. 5 against Wichita State.
The Wichita State game is also being billed as "We Back Pat Night," a national and MVC initiative to help raise Alzheimer's awareness and support the foundation of Pat Head Summitt. Fans are encouraged to wear orange and purple as two of Summitt's former players face off for the first time as head coaches.
Donations will be accepted for the foundation, and t-shirts will be sold by the MSU Bookstore. There will also be a silent auction with several Pat Summitt items up for bid.
Missouri State won the only meeting between the two schools by a 78-67 final on Dec. 11, 2011 at JQH Arena. Hannah Wilkerson is the only current Lady Bear to appear in that victory, scoring seven points in 17 minutes.
