The Missouri State Lady Bears (5-3, 0-0 Missouri Valley Conference) return to action Sunday afternoon at 2:05 against Morgan State (2-4, 0-0 MEAC) in the final non-conference home game of the regular season.
After a week off for final exams, the Lady Bears play two games in three days with a Tuesday trip to Arkansas State following Sunday’s contest before an eight day break that precedes the Missouri Valley Conference opener at Bradley on Dec. 29.
Missouri State is 2-0 against Morgan State, beating the Lady Bears on their home floor in Baltimore by a 66-39 score last season and winning 71-35 in 1996 in a tournament in Evanston, Ill.
In last year’s contest, Missouri State went on a 30-2 run over both halves and held Morgan State to 19.4 percent shooing (14-72), the second-lowest total for an opponent in school history.
The Lady Bears are 3-0 all-time against MEAC schools, with a win at Coppin State on the same trip as last year’s Morgan State game serving as the other matchup with that league.
