Lady Bears Team Up with Local Health Agencies to Promote 'Healthy Holiday'
In the holiday spirit of encouraging glad tidings and good health, the Missouri State Lady Bears are teaming up with Taylor Health and Wellness Center and the Springfield/Greene County Health Department to offer a unique opportunity for their loyal supporters and new fans attending next Wednesday's (Dec. 16) contest against Murray State at JQH Arena.
The first 1,500 fans attending the Lady Bears' match-up with the Racers will be offered a complimentary H1N1 Flu vaccine and ticket to that night's game, as well as a coupon for a 25-percent discount from the BearWear Team Store.
Trained nurses have volunteered to be on hand to administer vaccines Wednesday at Hammons Student Center from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., prior to the game's 7:05 tip-off. In order to receive the vaccine, individuals must be at least four years of age and not taking Coumadin.
Fans may enter Hammons through the main (east) entrance for their vaccine, and game tickets and coupons will be distributed on-site. All Lady Bear season and single-game ticket holders to Wednesday's game are encouraged to take part in the opportunity as well.
